Shuki FM

Once a radio, now a table lamp.

A 1950s Philips radio that still plays. It works as a radio and, over Bluetooth, as a speaker, with the light built in. It is named after Shuki Akuni, a very good friend and my lamp guide and life mentor, who has been making lamps in his own studio for over 30 years.

The practical bits

Availability

This one has found its home. I keep finding radios like it, so ask me: there may be another one waiting for you. Or bring an object of your own and I can make one like it: start a commission.

Wiring and safety

I rewire every piece with new cables and sockets. Plugs into a normal socket.

Care

Dust with a dry cloth. The patina is part of the piece, so please don’t polish the original object. Made in Israel.

Every piece shown at close to the same size, real sizes under each.
